Ministry of Digital Transformation Launches New ICT Access Center
Arima is the latest community to benefit from a state-of-the-art ICT Access Centre, located in the Community Centre on Anglican Street. Community members, including MP officials and representatives from the Arima Village Councils, local schools, and excited residents, had the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the services available on Friday.
Arima Council launches Peace is Power initiative
The Arima Borough Council has unanimously approved a resolution to launch a peace awareness initiative called Peace is Power. The council also recognised the need to create a safe and secure atmosphere for burgesses to ensure they can operate and prosper without fear in their daily functions.
24/7 Water supply coming to Arima and environs
The residents of Arima will reap the benefit of an 80% increase in water capacity with the expected benefit of 24/7 water supply as WASA completes several upgrades to its Guanapo Water Treatment Plant.
Arima celebrates 136th anniversary
Arima Mayor, Balliram Maharaj, has praised several of his predecessors for their contribution towards improving the borough for burgesses and visitors, at an Interfaith Service for the 136th Anniversary Celebration of the Royal Chartered Borough of Arima, held at St Jude’s Anglican Church. Among those present were Arima MP Pennelope Beckles, former D’Abadie/O’Meara MP Brigadier Ancil Antoine and former Arima mayor Ashton Ford.
